Language Ministries
CB Northwest exists to establish, unify and encourage local churches to win, build and equip believers to reach out to all people groups as commanded by Christ.
In light of the "browning of America", the CB Northwest family of churches and ministries seeks to emphasize the values, need and opportunities for service with and to the many language and cultural communities with whom we share our region.
Preferred Philosophy of Ministry
We seek to promote a model where Churches will provide culturally relevant ministries to as many language or cultural groups as are significant in their outreach area, meeting the cultural and identity needs of each ethnic group and yet progressively incorporating everyone into the local fellowship. In this way we can both reach a larger segment of our community and also promote understanding and unity in a fractured society.
CB Lanugage Ministries is available for consultations regarding the steps involved in initiating and developing language ministries as an integral part of the local church without demeaning the incomers' heritage nor overwhelming the existing members.

Leadership Training
This is a principal activity promoted through CB Northwest Language Ministries Department. There are two main emphases:
Academia Bíblica
Academia Bíblica is a Theological Education by Extension Program primarily using SEAN Materials and is the responsibility of each local church. CB Northwest maintains a stock of materials, provides training for tutors and keeps records of the student's progress. Some Bible Institutes will give credits from these courses.
SELAN
Working in conjunction with NAB (North American Baptists) and Western Seminary, (Portland, OR) CB Northwest Language Ministries has initiated a program designed to challenge, train and facilitate mature and committed leaders of our existing congregations in the task of designing and developing new daughter congregations.
